I started smoking when I was 12 years old and by the age of 16, I was a pack a day smoker (or more) for 15 years. I tried to quit smoking cold turkey in 1999; epic failure. Without the nicotine I was a complete mess, mentally and physically. It was then I knew I had a serious addiction to nicotine. I made a plan to switch to lighter cigarettes over a twelve month period. I switched brands, three times in that twelve month period and in the end I was smoking ultra-lights with low tar and lower nicotine. I tried to throw as many cigarettes away as possible after lighting up in habit. I butted many out half way or tossed them out of my car window just after lighting them. After the Christmas holidays were over I purchased a box of NicoretteĀƒ??s at the drug store. I do not recall the nicotine content but it was not the weakest and not the strongest. 10 NicoretteĀƒ??s and seven days later I stopped smoking 100%! I never lit up for six years! It was extremely difficult and the challenge became a game for me. The urge was always there and I damned myself every time I felt it but I stuck to the plan. Slowly the urges moved further apart. I recall two years without tobacco getting a strong sensation to light up. The nicotine was branded in my brain and so it happened, I suffered massive personal trauma and started drinking more and dabbling in tobacco. After a few months of this in 2006 I was back to smoking a pack a day and using stronger brands than I ever used before. I quit last year for three months. I used an e-cigarette that did not contain any nicotine; it seemed to help relax a portion of my mind. I used the e-cig for about two weeks. Then my living situation took a massive shift and I was back on the cigarettes again. Four months ago a very good friend showed me an e-cig with nicotine. This friend explained the various products, flavors and nicotine levels available. I was intrigued to say the least but I was cautious. A week and a half later I was smoking an e-go stick device with small refillable tips. I did not like the taste and vapor effect I was getting from the device so I continued to smoke tobacco cigarettes. I spent some serious money on a mechanical MOD and a digital control MOD. I have tried dozens of tanks that hold juice. I prefer huffing on a simple re-buildable tank with my own wick and wire concoctions; it is by far the purest way to taste the juice. I have three different re-buildable tanks and I am looking to try others. These devices are mostly on the large and expensive side of things. I only use these at home. When I am out on the go and at work I take small e-go stick batteries with two tanks topped up with juice. If a battery fails or dies I have a spare. If a tank breaks or burns out, I have a spare. I use 18mg flavored nicotine juices. I like trying new flavors. In eight months my juice will be 12mg. My health has dramatically improved and e-cigs work. I bet you all a million dollars I will be vaping 0mg juice in two years!
