Right To Vape is an international database and repository. It contains testimonials of adults who have switched from combustible and unsafe oral tobacco products to safer nicotine alternatives.

I started smoking regularly when I was 16 years old, 49 years ago. I have been smoking for almost a half-century. I smoked filtered and non-filtered cigarettes, for a while as much as two packs a day. Over the last decade or so, I have probably averaged a pack per day. I smoked a pipe for a while, but always wound up going back to cigarettes, ether during or after my episodes with pipe-smoking. I rolled my own for a couple of years, but always wound up going back to ƒ??store boughtƒ?? cigarettes. I have tried Nicoderm patches on a couple of occasions, for the full regime, and stayed quit for several months one time, but seemed to always be on the edge of relapsing. My doctor prescribed Chantix for me once, for which I also completed the prescription, but wound up relapsing back to cigarettes after a month or so. I was never able to quit for longer than a few months. I started vaping in May, 2013, to begin with vaping and smoking for a period of a couple of weeks. On June 1, I put the cigarettes down (I still have an entire carton of unopened cigarettes at the house) and continued vaping exclusively. I started out vaping tobacco flavors exclusively (at 24mg nicotine), but soon started trying other flavors (teas, deserts, fruits, etc.). My more recent orders for e-liquid are now at the 18mg nicotine level, so I am gradually (and intentionally) tapering down the nicotine content. As of this writing, I am smoke free for 66 days, have avoided over 1700 cigarettes, and have no desire to return to smoking. Even in this short period of time, my wind is better, I am not coughing in the morning and my teeth stay cleaner. My taste and smell have improved (both my ability to do so plus the fact that I donƒ??t smell of cigarette smoke to others). The only negative thing I have noticed is a somewhat unpleasant drainage from one nostril, though Iƒ??ve developed sinus problems of sorts over the last several years and perhaps this is just some of that working its way to a resolution. One last thing I should mention: I have spent quite a bit of time on the Electronic Cigarette Forum (ECF) researching equipment and juice reviews, etc., and I have been consistently impressed with the degree of intelligence and reflection by which many electronic cigarette users approach this activity. Getting away from smoking is a paramount concern to the vast, vast majority, improving their health is of utmost concern, and, as is obvious from many, many postings which I have read, vapers are very conscious of the health implications of this choice (such as which wicking material is the safest, does kanthal or nichrome wire for the heating element have the least impurities in the wire, etc…). I am really happy to be associated with an intelligent community who takes these personal choices seriously, and does so with such conscious deliberation. Thank you for this opportunity to share my story.
