I mainly decided to try an e-cigarette as a way of saving money, I thought that if I could save a few pounds per week that would be fantastic. At the time I was smoking 20-25 cigarettes per day and it was costing me around ?55.00 per week. I wasn’t at all convinced that an e-cig would help me cut down on my smoking habit. After all, I’d tried gum, patches, inhalators and even cold turkey in the past without any glimmer of success. I figured that after 27+ years of using cancer sticks that I was hooked for life. But now at the age of 44 years, I can safely say I am now a confirmed NON-SMOKER. I have been vaping exclusively now for over 4 months and I feel fantastic, you could almost call it a miracle. My blood pressure, which was always slightly elevated, is now normal. I can breathe properly through my nose again and actual enjoy walking up-hill now without getting breathless or having to stop for a break. I snore less at night and can taste food better, even my sense of smell has come back again. A good example of how much fitter I feel is this: Over the past 12 months, my Wife and I have been gradually re-landscaping our back garden. When I was still smoking we had half a tonne of gravel delivered, which I had to move round to the back of our property in a wheel-barrow. This took me 4 hours to do, as I had to keep stopping for a break as I was out of breath and dripping with sweat within 10 minutes. In contrast, we had a full tonne (twice the amount) of gravel delivered about 4 weeks ago. It took me 2 hours to move it in the wheel-barrow this time, only one short break needed for a cup of coffee. At the end of the process, I felt great, I could have moved another 2 tonnes without any problems. As far as I am concerned, e-cigs are the greatest invention in the last 100 years, I owe my life, health and financial stability to the inventor of this amazing product. I just hope that here in the UK, restrictions on nicotine juice strength are not implemented. I currently use 24mg strength e-juice, so putting a limit of 4mg will be absolutely useless to me. I am almost certain that I would be forced back onto cigarettes if this happened. I have found a healthy alternative to the deadly cancer stinks, one that, in my opinion is no worse than drinking a cup of coffee. I can only pray, that my story will help to convince those elected officials and their representatives, not to restrict our rights to vape. We’re saving lives here and reducing the burden on the health system, or is a loss of tax on cigarettes more important than saving lives ???
