I would like to share my story with anyone who is interested in learning more about using personal vaporizers, and to exchange stories with those who already use them and continue to learn and grow in this process. I am a 29 year old female, I started smoking cigarettes at a the very young age of 12 years old after some tramatic family events. I have 3 beautiful children and I did manage to quit smoking during my pregnancies and for a couple months after my children were born, even though I told myself I would never start smoking cigarettes again I always seemed to get started back on them. I thought I could use cigarettes just at a social occasion, or when I was really stressed, in reality I just kept falling backwards and never getting away from cigarettes. I grew up with a whole line of cigarette smokers in my family, I watched my grandma and aunts be restricted to their homes because of the horrible effects of smoking on their lungs and their need for oxigen use, and some still continuing to smoke because they believed it was too late to reverse the effects that smoking had already done to them. Now why I still continued to smoke after seeing my family suffer, I can not answer that really other than to say nicotine is addicting. I have tried numerous times to quit smoking, I??ve used nicotine gum, medications, e-cigarettes I found at gas stations, and even purchased an expensive e-cigarette kit at the mall, I failed on all these, I still craved cigarettes and I felt no relief from stress, I could definitely tell that I was not getting the nicotine that these products claimed to give…. I continued to smoke cigarettes. About 3 years later (2013) a friend of mine introduced to me to another style of ??e-cigarette? which I like to call a personal vaporizer, these were the eGo style batteries with different options for holding liquid nicotine and your choice of nicotine level and flavors. I was hesitant because of my expeirence in the past. My friend smoked more cigarettes a day than me and had been cigarette free for 2 months! I decided to give it a try, it took some trial and error with flavors and getting use to a different type of ??throat hit? than what you get from cigarettes, and learning about all the different options there are in the vapor world. I finally got what I needed to get started, which was an eGo battery, charger, clearomizer, and e-liquid… thanks to my friend who knew this was working, and wanted to help as many people as possible. I continued to use cigarettes for the first week, I cut down more and more each day not even realizing it because I didn??t crave a cigarette, actually the cigarettes became nasty and I was only able to smoke a half of one IF THAT before putting it out! My young son who has asthma was breathing better, even though I did not smoke in the house or car and I kept away from my children while smoking, the smoke and smell was always on me and my clothes. I noticed how people were nicer at stores, resturants ect. Because I no longer smelled of cigarette smoke… and I also noticed how awful cigarette smoke smelled because I still had close family members who smoked…. I??ve since helped them get started vaping and free of cigarettes! I have to include a little piece of health information which I find amazing!… I don??t have the best of health, at age 29 I suffer from a couple of chronic disabilities which I will deal with the rest of my life. But I had a big scare from my Dr. One month ago, My Dr. Informed me that I had a nodule on my lung, I had been losing weight tremendously and not doing very well. I was given a TB test and sent for an xray of my lungs, the TB test was negative and for the nodule on my lungs that had appeared in a previous xray months before this they decided to send me for a MRI. I was very frightened, I kept thinking this is my luck I??m going to find out I have lung cancer or something AFTER I have quit smoking! BUT on the MRI there was NO lung nodules detected! Now I can not say that this is because I quit smoking cigarettes and switched to vaping because I am no Dr. But I can say that I enjoy vaping, I do feel better, I no longer stink of cigarette smoke, I do not have nicotine fits or withdrawls because I can choose what amount of nicotine I get, I started at 24mg of nicotine and I look forward to dropping it down to 18mg and continue to as low of nicotine I can without adding stress to my life. Right now I am not using my personal vaporizer to quit the use of nicotine, I am using it as an alternitive to cigarettes and the awful smell and second hand smoke! There is no more smoke, simply vapor! If you have taken the time to read my story thanks! Zaina
