I smoked 2 packs a day for about 30 years. I suffered a stroke in March of 2013, and was told by my doctors that I had to stop smoking. Previous to this I was using Advair and Proventil on a daily basis. During the time before my stroke, I tried to stop smoking by use of Chantix, Nicotiene patch, Nicotiene gum and finally Nicotiene lozenges. I had negative results with each product. After my stroke I was informed about electronic cigarettes. I purchased a Provari electronic cigarette, have not had a cigarette since march 30th, and I no longer use Advair or Proventil to help me breath properly. While the effects of my stroke are still apparent, I no longer become short of breath or find it difficult to breath since starting the use of my electronic cigarette.
