I started smoking cigarettes in the military some 17 years ago. A pack plus a day smoker for 17 years. I have tried to stop smoking several times. I tried the patch, gum, cigars only, Snus, Chewing Tobacco and Chantix. None of it helped. A friend of mine showed me his vaporizer electronic cigarette system. He explained how it worked, what was in it and let me try it. This seemed to me to be viable option and wanted to give it a try. Iƒ??d run it by my wife first. My smoking infuriated my wife. I would have to do the best I could to hide my addiction from her. But she knew, she always knew. I would hear about it too. The fact that I would smoke and do that type of damage to my body meant to her, that I must not love her because I didnƒ??t care if I lived a long full life with her. She would be mad that she could not kiss me. She hated the stench. It interfered with our personal relationship. The issue almost brought us to divorce several times. To be clear, the issue was my addiction to nicotine via smoking. When I told her about the product she was, of course, very supportive. I went down to our local Electronic Cigarette store and purchased a vaporizer and E liquid. I was trained on how to use, clean and maintain the unit. I started using it as I left the store. That was 5 weeks and one day ago. I have not smoked a traditional cigarette in that time and have had no desire to. I have also reduced my nicotine level from 24mg down to 18mg. My plan, my strategy is to keep working my way down to 12mg then to 6mg then to 0mg. Then I will put the vaporizer down and be completely free from it all together. Also, in that 5 week period, my wife and I began to kiss. We kiss a lot. We have reconnected. My coworkers appreciate me not smelling like smoke. My kids hug me and donƒ??t turn their head away. I can take them places in my car that doesnƒ??t stink like it did before. In short, it has improved my relationship with others. This is not to mention my own confidence and pride. This product has returned my life to me. I believe this product can save the lives of millions. With that said it is important to note the truth of this product. It does contain nicotine and as so clearly stated by the United States Surgeon General report ƒ??How Tobacco Smoke Causes Disease: The Biology and Behavioral Basis for Smoking-Attributable Diseaseƒ? {2010, http://www.surgeongeneral.gov/library/reports/tobaccosmoke/index.html , Chapter 4. Nicotine Addiction: Past and Present} such a product although not known at this time to be toxic, it is addictive. I very strongly advocate that the product not be sold to minor children and child resistant bottles be used for the E liquids. Thank you.
