I’ve smoked for more than 30 years with some breaks when I stopped smoking for maximum 2 years using willpower alone. And started again at free-will. I switched partly to E-cigarettes 15 month ago, reducing my daily cigarette consumption by 70%. On weekends no cigarettes, just during worktime. Nicotine strength is still 24 mg/ml, no reduction is planned. I tried NRTs 2 times (patch and gum) without any success. I even smoked when wearing the patch. Changes of my life? As usual with E-cigarettes (endurance, smell, no coughs) plus less illnesses. And there is not such a thing like nicotine addiction. This lie was first made poular by a surgeon general in 1988. Several dozens scientists contradict this lie heavily. NRT products don??t cause addiction, thus nicotine causes no addiction. The nictine plasma content of smokers is high all day long and even in the night. Some minor peaks don??t explain anything. And the throat hit of nicotine happpens immediately, not within 7-10 s. The whole story about good and bad nicotine is nonsense. I know what I am talking about because I??ve studied the scientific literature. WHO and pharmaceutical industry are lying at us in order to sell NRTs. And WHO is obliged to follow their own concept which requires to ban any new tobacco products.
