I began smoking around age 40 while working as a civilian for the Navy. Smoking had just been relegated to outdoors only. As a non-smoker, I wanted to legitimize the occasional visit to the waterfront outside our hangar. Although I carried a cigarette, these breaks were meant only to settle my mind in preparation for further work, and I did not smoke. One day I lit my cigarette, and that??s how it began. Now, in part due to restrictions on smoking, I have smoked tobacco for about 20 years. For the past 2 years I have been following the development of e-cigarettes, which I prefer to call vape sticks, and regularly use some of the most advanced refillable models. Many days I smoke no tobacco at all. Before e-cigarettes I generally smoked 10 or more cigarettes per day. Now, with the aid of a vaporized nicotine solution, usually 36mg per liter strength, my lung capacity is practically normal. I enjoy being able to ??vape? at a low cost, without negative odors, and in any setting without fear of offense or reprisal.
