I’m 56 years old and started smoking when I was 12. My father smoked and I wanted to do everything my dad did. Throughout my life, I tried to quit, but cigarettes had become my friend. I tried hypnotism, Chantix, cold turkey, anti-depressants, you name it. Most of them worked for a short while (1-3 months), but it was too easy to get back into the habit. I decided to try vaping in April of 2014. I half smoked and half vaped for about a month before I decided I could go fully into vaping. The first of May, 2014, I laid down cigarettes for good. Now the smell of them, makes me sick. I started vaping at 24 mg and am now down to 6 mg – and plan to continue to decrease my mg. The horrible smokers cough is long gone, and my clothes and house no longer smell like an old ashtray. I don’t have to go outside when visiting family and friends and it has vastly improved my relationships.
