To whom it may concern,

I smoked for 15 years. Vaping was the solution that finally got me off cigarettes.

I switched to vaping in 2013, thanks to a friend and a colleague who both gave me the lowdown on vaping, during a business trip. I made the switch using fruit flavors. I vaped from 2013 to 2015, when my doctor had me quit nicotine entirely, because of a prescription. I ended up lapsing back into smoking, because of stress. I smoked for 6 months to a year after that before I got myself to switch back to vaping. I’ve been vaping ever since. I can’t see myself quitting vaping, because I don’t want to have another brush with cigarettes.

Prior to vaping I tried cold turkey, nicotine patches, nicotine gum, and Chantix with n0 success.

Vaping and flavor bans are a bad idea. It’s just going to push vapers to the black market or worse, back to smoking cigarettes and make it less likely for the people that smoke cigarettes’ to switch to vaping. We’ll probably see a rise in under age cigarette smoking, as well or under age consumption of black market vaping products.

Prohibition doesn’t work. Do we really want a repeat of what happened with the black market THC cartridges that contained vitamin e acetate?
